More than 8000 industry professionals passed through the doors of Perth Exhibition & Convention Centre over three days, attending arguably Australia’s most successful Oil & Gas event – the Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference (AOG 2018), March 14-16.
Genesis Petroleum was at the heart of all the action, exhibiting our latest solutions in partnership with National Energy Resources Australia (NERA) who hosted a Technology and Skills Hub showcasing the latest technologies in the fields of Data and Digitisation, Automation and Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
Through ‘The Hub’ NERA was championing the use of the latest data-driven technologies to improve operations, optimise new and existing assets, increase productivity, cut waste and explore future developments in our industry, making our suite of products and services a perfect match for this high-tech space at AOG 2018.
“It was exciting to see so much interest in data-driven solutions at this year’s AOG”, said Genesis CEO Dr Carlos Damski. “More and more consultants and companies are recognising the ever-expanding power of their existing data to inform their business decision making…to better manage uncertainty, resource efficiency in what has been quite difficult economic times”.
AOG 2018 Event Director, Bill Hare, said the strong attendance figures were a good reflection of the returning confidence in the state of the Australian Oil & Gas Industry.
“The feedback we have had from exhibitors has been very positive and that has already been reflected in the number of companies that have re-booked for 2019”, Mr Hare said.
AOG 2018 catered for 265 exhibitors from 14 countries, while more than 1600 people attended the three ‘Industry Forums’ staged during the event. “Learning and networking with the industry’s finest is always a highlight, as is seeing the incredible work of up and coming players…you can’t sit still in Oil & Gas, and that’s what makes it so exciting”, said Carlos Damski.
AOG will return in 2019, and will be staged in Perth from March 13 to 15.
